Privacy Policy — Dead Zone Defense

Dead Zone Defense (“the App”, bundle ID com.robertcook.zombiedefense) is a tower-defense game for iPhone. This policy explains what data the App handles and how.

Summary

• No account is required and there is no sign-in screen of ours.
• We run no servers; game progress stays on your device.
• Ads are provided by Google AdMob, which may collect data as described below.
• Leaderboards and duels use Apple Game Center.
• We do not sell your personal information.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

The App shows ads from Google AdMob, including interstitial ads (for example, after a level ends) and optional rewarded ads you choose to watch. To serve, measure, and limit fraud on these ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect:

• Device identifiers, such as the advertising identifier (IDFA) when permitted, and IP address;
• Advertising data, such as ads shown, viewed, and tapped;
• Product interaction, such as app launches and ad interactions;
• Diagnostics, such as crash and performance data.

This data is collected and processed by Google, not sent to the developer. Learn more: Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

App Tracking Transparency and the IDFA

The App asks permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt before any tracking. If you allow tracking, AdMob may use your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA) to show more relevant ads and measure ad performance across apps. If you do not allow tracking, the IDFA is not shared; you will still see ads, but they will be non-personalized or less relevant, and the game works the same.

Game Center

If you sign in to Apple Game Center, the App uses it for world leaderboards (such as world score, endless score, total stars, and duel wins) and for duels with friends. Your Game Center alias and scores may be visible to other players. Game Center data is handled by Apple under Apple’s Privacy Policy.

In-app purchases

The App offers optional coin packs. Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store; we never see or store your payment details. The App receives only a confirmation of which coin pack was bought (purchase history), which it uses on your device to add the coins. This information is not linked to your identity and is not used for tracking.

Game progress

Levels unlocked, stars, coins, and settings are stored only on your device. There is no account and no server of ours; the developer does not receive your progress.

Children’s privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Your choices

• Turn off tracking anytime in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.
• Decline Game Center sign-in; the single-player game still works.
• Delete the App to remove all progress stored on your device.

Changes

We may update this policy. The effective date above will change when we do.
